AMIFRU 40mg Tablet tablet is used for the treatment of the following conditions:

• Oedema
• Hypertension
• Heart failure
• Prevent strokes, heart attacks and kidney problems

AMIFRU 40mg Tablet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

In AMIFRU 40mg Tablet, Amiloride belongs to the class of drugs called diuretic drugs. It acts by removing water and electrolytes barring potassium, and thus it treats oedema and reduces blood pressure.

Furosemide belongs to the class of drugs called diuretic drugs. It acts on kidneys and removes excess water and certain electrolytes, such as sodium from the body. Thus, it helps in treating oedema and high blood pressure.

The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take AMIFRU 40mg Tablet tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

• Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

If you miss a dose of AMIFRU 40mg Tablet, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
