ANOVATE Cream cream is used for the treatment of the following conditions:

• Haemorrhoids
• Fissures
• Proctitis

ANOVATE Cream may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

In ANOVATE Cream, Betamethasone belongs to the class of drugs called corticosteroids. The drug acts by inhibiting and maintaining certain components that cause inflammation. Thus, it reduces swelling, itching and redness.

Phenylephrine belongs to the class of drugs called alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist. The drug acts by narrowing the inflamed veins, thereby reducing the pain.

Lignocaine belongs to the class of drugs called anaesthetics. The drug acts by inhibiting the influx of certain ions and causes temporary numbness. Thus, it prevents the propagation of pain signals and reduces pain.

The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Apply ANOVATE Cream cream as prescribed by your doctor.

• Wash and dry the affected area. Apply a thin layer of ANOVATE Cream cream to the affected area and rub gently.

If you miss a dose of ANOVATE Cream, please apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not apply a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

• Clotrimazole
• Diclofenac
• Ergotamine

• Skin irritation

• Skin thinning
• Peeling of the skin
• Severe skin rash
• Bleeding from rectum

You are advised not to apply ANOVATE Cream if

• it has passed the expiry date of the medicine printed on the pack.
• the foil or packaging is torn or shows signs of tampering or there is discolouration.

• Tell your doctor if you have any history of kidney, liver or other skin conditions.
• Inform the doctor if you are taking any other drugs, OTC medications, herbal products or nutritional supplements.

1. How should ANOVATE Cream be stored?

ANOVATE Cream should be stored at room temperature (15 - 30°C) away from heat, light and moisture.

2. Can I use any other cosmetics while using ANOVATE Cream?

No. It is not advisable to use any other cosmetics for at least 30 minutes after applying ANOVATE Cream.

3. Is it common to experience skin redness at the site of application?

Yes. Redness of skin is one of the common side effects of ANOVATE Cream. Consult your doctor if the condition gets worse.
