ARVAST GOLD 10mg contains Aspirin, Clopidogrel and Rosuvastatin Aspirin and Clopidogrel belongs to a group of medicines called antiplatelet agents that help to prevent your blood cells sticking together and forming a blood clot.

Rosuvastatin belongs to a group of medicines called statins.

THERAPEUTIC USES:

What ARVAST GOLD 10mg is used for?It is used,

blood clots which can lead to atherothrombotic events such as stroke, heart attack, or death atherosclerosis.
peripheral arterial disease.
atrial fibrillation.
high cholesterol level.

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your doctor, if you are taking medicines for:

thinning of the blood/prevention of clots (e.g. warfarin, heparin, phenindione and clopidogrel).
organ rejection after transplantation (e.g. ciclosporin, tacrolimus).
high blood pressure (e.g. diuretics and ACE-inhibitors).
regulation of the heart beat (digoxin).
manic-depressive illness (lithium).
pain and inflammation (e.g. anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen, or steroids).
gout (e.g. probenecid).
epilepsy (valproate, phenytoin).
glaucoma (acetazolamide).
cancer or rheumatoid arthritis (e.g. methotrexate).
diabetes (e.g. glibenclamide).
depression (selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as sertraline or paroxetine or moclobemide).
iron salts (for treatment of iron deficiency anaemia).
darbonates (treatment of peptic ulcer and reflux).
alkali hydroxides (antacids).
heparin or any other injectable medicine used to reduce blood clotting, ticlopidine, other antiplatelet agent.
a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (including but not restricted to fluoxetine or fluvoxamine),medicines usually used to treat depression.
omeprazole or esomeprazole, medicines to treat upset stomach.
fluconazole or voriconazole, medicines to treat fungal infections.
carbamazepine, a medicine to treat some forms of epilepsy.
repaglinide, medicine to treat diabetes.
paclitaxel, medicine to treat cancer.
erythromycin (an antibiotic).
an oral contraceptive (the pill).
HIV or hepatitis C infection such as ritonavir, lopinavir.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you.
You can take ARVAST GOLD 10mg orally with or without food, and at the same time each day.

SIDE EFFECTS:

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

SERIOUS:

sudden wheezing, swelling of your lips, face or body, rash, fainting or difficulties swallowing (severe allergic reaction).
reddening of the skin with blisters or peeling and may be associated with a high fever and joint pains.
unusual bleeding, such as coughing up blood, blood in your vomit or urine, or black stools fever, signs of infection or extreme tiredness.
signs of liver problems such as yellowing of the skin and/or the eyes (jaundice).

COMMON:

indigestion.
increased tendency for bleeding.
bleeding in the stomach or bowels, bruising, haematoma (unusual bleeding or bruising under the skin), nose bleed, blood in the urine.
headache, stomach pain, constipation, feeling sick, muscle pain, feeling weak, dizziness.
an increase in the amount of protein in the urine.

UNCOMMON:

hives.
runny nose.
breathing difficulty.
headache.
stomach ulcer.
vomiting.
nausea.
constipation.
excessive gas in stomach or intestines.
rashes, itching, dizziness, sensation of tingling and numbness.

RARE:

severe bleeding in the stomach or intestines, brain hemorrhage; altered number of blood cells.
cramps in the lower respiratory tract, asthma attack.
inflammation in the blood vessels.
severe rash.
hypersensitivity reactions, such as swelling of e.g. lips, face or body, or shock.
abnormal heavy or prolonged menstrual periods.
vertigo
enlarged breasts in males.
muscle damage in adults such as any unusual aches or pains in your muscles.
a severe stomach pain (inflamed pancreas).
increase in liver enzymes in the blood
bleeding or bruising more easily than normal due to low level of blood platelets.

VARY RARE:

fever, breathing difficulties sometimes associated with cough.
generalized allergic reactions (for example, overall sensation of heat with sudden general discomfort until fainting), swelling in the mouth; blisters of the skin; skin allergy; sore mouth (stomatitis).
decrease in blood pressure.
confusion, hallucinations.
joint pain, muscular pain.
changes in taste of food.
liver problems such as Jaundice, hepatitis (an inflamed liver), traces of blood in your urine, damage to the nerves of your legs and arms (such as numbness), joint pain, memory loss and breast enlargement in men (gynaecomastia).

are allergic to Aspirin, asthma attack or swelling of some parts of the body.
have or ever had an ulcer in your stomach or small intestine.
ever had the problem of your blood not clotting properly.
are suffering from gout.
have severe liver or kidney problems.
suffer from blood disorder that makes you prone to internal bleeding.
have planned for a surgery.
have had a clot in an artery of your brain (ischemic stroke).
have had repeated or unexplained muscle aches or pains.
have thyroid problem.
are over 70 years of age.
have severe respiratory failure.
consume alcohol.

PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING:

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or planning to get pregnant, tell your doctor before taking this medicine.
It is preferable not to take this product during pregnancy.
You should not breast-feed while taking this medicine.

CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS:

ARVAST GOLD 10mg is not intended for children under 16 years of age.

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES

ARVAST GOLD 10mg is less likely to affect your ability to drive and use machines.

STORAGE:

Keep out of the reach of children.
Do not use after expiry date.
Store at room temperature 15ºC to 25ºC.

Q1.If I take more ARVAST GOLD 10mg? Contact your doctor or the nearest hospital emergency department because of the increased risk of bleeding.

Q2.If I forget take a dose of ARVAST GOLD 10mg? If you forget to take a dose of tablet but remember within 12 hours of your usual time, take your tablet straightaway and then take your next tablet at the usual time If you forget for more than 12 hours, simply take the next single dose at the usual time Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet

Q3.If I stop taking ARVAST GOLD 10mg? Do not stop the treatment unless your doctor tells you so.
