Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
- are allergic to Mebeverine or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- have liver or kidney problems
- have developed new symptoms or your symptoms have become worse
- Your doctor may advise you to stop taking COLOSPA RETARD before you become pregnant or as soon as you know you are pregnant
- COLOSPA RETARD should not be used during breast-feeding
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- Swallow the medicine whole with water
- Do not chew the medicine
- Take the medicine 20 minutes before a meal
For Adults and elderly
- The recommended starting dose is 200mg twice a day
If you take more COLOSPA RETARD
- If you take more COLOSPA RETARD, talk to a doctor or go to the nearest hospital straight away
If you forget to take COLOSPA RETARD
- If you forget to take COLOSPA RETARD take it when you remember. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and carry on as normal with the next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking COLOSPA RETARD
- Do not stop taking COLOSPA RETARD without talking to your doctor, even if you feel better
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
