Talk to your doctor before taking DONICA SR, if you:
- are allergic to Indomethacin, Aspirin, other NSAIDs or to any of the other ingredients in this medicine
- are planned for heart surgery called a “coronary artery bypass graft (CABG)
- have liver or kidney problem
- have a prior history of peptic ulcer (ulcer in your stomach or duodenum) or bleeding in your stomach
- have heart disease, high blood pressure or have a tendency for fluid retention
- have asthma
- have a problem with your blood clotting
Talk to your doctor if you are taking any other medicine such as:
- aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines
- warfarin used to prevent blood clots
- medicines used to treat depression
- diuretics
- digoxin used in the treatment of congestive heart failure
- medicines used for the treatment of high blood pressure such as ramipril, perindopril, telmisartan, propranolol, metoprolol
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- The dosage for acute painful shoulder (bursitis and/or tendinitis) is one 75 mg capsule once or twice daily
If you take more DONICA SR
- If you take more DONICA SR, tell your doctor at once or contact the nearest hospital
If you forgot to take DONICA SR
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. If you forget to take a dose take it as soon as you remember it and then take the next dose at the usual time
If you stop taking DONICA SR
- Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so
Like all medicines, DONICA SR can cause side effects although not everybody gets them.

- new or worsening of high blood pressure
- heart failure
- liver problems
- kidney problems
- low red blood cells (anemia)
- life-threatening skin reactions
- life-threatening allergic reactions such as shortness of breath or trouble breathing, chest pain, weakness in one part or side of your body
- slurred speech
- swelling of the face or throat
- nausea
- more tired or weaker than usual
- diarrhea
- itching, your skin or eyes look yellow, indigestion or stomach pain, flu-like symptoms, vomit blood, there is blood in your bowel movement or it is black and sticky like tar, unusual weight gain
- skin rash or blisters with fever, swelling of the arms, legs, hands and feet
