DYCERIN A Tablet is used to relieve:

• Pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis (arthritis of joints), rheumatoid arthritis AND ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis of spine);
• Low back pain;
• Dental pain.

DYCERIN A Tablet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by your     doctor.

• Aceclofenac is a NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug), analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (reduces fever) medicine.
  • Aceclofenac inhibits an enzyme cyclo-oxygenase, which is responsible of production of prostaglandins in our body. (prostaglandins are natural chemicals in our body which promote inflammation).
  • Aceclofenac increases glycosaminoglycans (GAG) synthesis which helps in repair and regeneration of articular cartilage.

• Diancerin, also known as diacetylrhein, belongs to a class of drugs anthraquinones which used to treat joint diseases such as osteoarthritis (swelling and pain in the joints). 
  • Diancerin inhibits interleukin -1 (IL-1) synthesis, which protects the articular cartilage and reduces the severity of cartilage, bone, and synovial membrane damage in osteoarthritis.

• The dosage of oral tablet of DYCERIN A Tablet depends on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take DYCERIN A Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.
• You are advised to take the tablet with or after food.
• Swallow the whole tablet with a glass a water. Do not chew the tablet.
• Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
• If you miss a dose of DYCERIN A Tablet, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

If you have taken an overdose of DYCERIN A Tablet, please contact your doctor immediately.

Symptoms of overdose of DYCERIN A Tablet are:

• Headache
• Nausea, vomiting
• Pain abdomen
• Dizziness
• Sweating
• Somnolence (sleepiness)
• Pancreatitis (abdominal pain radiating to the back, abdominal pain exaggerated by eating, fever, rapid pulse, nausea, vomiting, pain in pancreas region)
• Hepatic failure (jaundice, malaise, nausea, vomiting, confusion, abdominal swelling, sleepiness)
• Acute renal failure (swelling in legs, ankle and feet, shortness of breath, fatigue, chest pain, confusion, disorientation, coma)

Drugs that interact with Aceclofenac:

• Anti-diabetics
• Antihypertensives
• Aspirin
• Cyclosporin, Tacrolimus
• Digoxin
• Diuretics
• Lithium
• Methotrexate
• Mifepristone
• NSAIDs (non- steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)
• Quinolones
• Warfarin
• Zidovudine

Drugs that interact with Diancerin:

• Antacids (which contain and / or magnesium hydrochloride)
• Antibiotics
• Fibres and phytates
• Laxatives

Most common side effects of DYCERIN A Tablet are:

• Nausea
• Dyspepsia (pain or uncomfortable feeling in stomach)
• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhoea
• Skin rash
• Urticaria (hives)
• Enuresis (involuntary urination)
• Intense yellow colouring of urine.

Please stop your tablets and contact your physician immediately if you have

• hypersensitivity reaction (breathing difficulty, bronchospasm, skin rashes, swelling of the face, tongue, larynx);
• increased blood pressure readings;
• chest pain;
• swelling of legs, ankle and feet.

• you are taking any other drugs, OTC medications, herbal products or nutritional supplements.
• you have heart failure, hypertension, liver disease, kidney disease.
• you have peptic ulcer.
• you have history of gastro-intestinal ulceration, bleeding or perforation.
• you have ulcerative colitis or crohns disease.
• you have bleeding diathesis.
• you have acute rhinitis.
• you have asthma.
• you are bedridden.
• you are planning a surgery or any procedure.
• you are pregnant or trying to conceive or are breastfeeding.

DYCERIN A Tablet should be stored in a cool, dry place. Keep the medicine away from sunlight and do not freeze the medicine. Keep the medicine out of reach from children.

2. Can I drive while taking DYCERIN A Tablet

DYCERIN A Tablet causes drowsiness and dizziness in some individuals. Avoid driving if you are taking DYCERIN A Tablet.

3. Should I follow any special dietary instructions while taking Aceclofenac +Paracetamol?

There are no dietary restrictions if you are taking DYCERIN A Tablet.

4. Is DYCERIN A Tablet addictive

No, DYCERIN A Tablet is not addictive. However, do not take it without consulting your doctor.
