Made out of 100% cotton gauze fabric. It is a soft sterile swab. The swabs are with folded edges (American folds)-therefore no loose threads. They are most often used to clean the skin before an injection is given or blood is drawn.
Alcohol swabs are disposable. Alcohol swab helps prevent bacteria from entering the body and causing an infection.
The swab is usually applied to the skin in one direction and the area is then allowed to dry before injecting a medicine, vaccination or drawing blood.
Before use check the integrity of the sealing of the pack.
