What LIVOGEN HEM is used for?
LIVOGEN HEM contains the below mentioned components, which have the following uses:
Ferrous gluconate:
- Ferrous gluconate is a type of iron salt which allows better absorption in the body and has comparable tolerability. Iron is a vital mineral, that forms part of red blood cells which carry oxygen round the body
Folic acid:
- It is vital for production of red blood cells and for development of the baby during pregnancy. It is also required to regulate the growth of red blood cells
Talk to your doctor before taking LIVOGEN HEM, if you:
- are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients in this medicine
- are suffering from vitamin B12 deficiency or any anemic conditions arising from it
- are receiving repeated blood transfusions and/or parenteral iron therapy
- have any iron-storage or iron-absorption diseases such as haemochromatosis
- have any gastrointestinal diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease
- have or have had any heart problems
- have any other chronic or acute medical conditions
