REMYLIN D contains:
- Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) - the vitamin-like antioxidant
- Vitamins such as vitamin B9 (folic acid), vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol)

What REMYLIN D is used for?
Alpha Lipoic Acid:
- Provides an antioxidant effect to protect peripheral nerves, and improves the function and conduction of neurons in diabetes
Methylcobalamin, Folic Acid, Pyridoxine:
- Help to lower elevated homocysteine levels, thus preventing nerve cell death, and increase substances needed to metabolize neurotransmitters (chemical substances that carry signals between neurons)
Cholecalciferol:
- Plays a vital role in managing peripheral nerve issues arising from diabetes and glucose intolerance
Talk to your doctor before using REMYLIN D, if you:
- are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients in the medicine
- have hypercalcemia, malabsorption syndrome, abnormal sensitivity to the toxic effects of vitamin D and hypervitaminosis D
- are suffering from folate deficiency and/or vitamin B12 deficiency, or any anemic conditions arising from these deficiencies
- have renal impairment or calculi
- have any heart disease
- are at an increased risk of organ damage
- have any other chronic or acute medical ailments
Tell your doctor if you might take any other medicines such as:
- Carbamazepine, Phenobarbital, Phenytoin, Primidone (anti-epileptic and anti-seizure drugs)
- Chloramphenicol, Co-trimoxazole (anti-bacterial drugs)
- Neomycin (aminoglycoside antibiotic)
- Aminosalicylic acid, Isoniazid, Rifampicin (antibiotic used to treat tuberculosis)
- Omeprazole, Histamine H2-Antagonists (used to treat gastroesophageal reflux, duodenal/gastric ulcers)
- Sulfasalazine (used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, and Crohns disease)
- Oral contraceptives (used for birth control)
- Potassium supplements
- Calcium and/or phosphate containing drugs
- Corticosteroids (hormonal drugs used to confer anti-inflammatory effects)
- Ketoconazole (antifungal drug)
- Other vitamins, minerals, herbal supplements you may have obtained without a prescription
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- Swallow the medicine whole with a glass of water
- Continue to follow any advice about diet recommended by your doctor
If you take more REMYLIN D
- If you, either accidentally, or just happen to take more than the prescribed dose of this medicine, contact your doctor or the nearest emergency department, at once
If you forget to take REMYLIN D
- If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember
- If you do not remember until it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule
- Do not take a double dose of this medicine
If you stop taking REMYLIN D
- Do not stop taking this medicine until your doctor tells you to do so
Like all medicines, this medicine can also cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Furthermore, If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effect not listed below, please tell your doctor immediately
