What URIVOID 25MG is used for?

• URIVOID 25MG is used to treat urinary retention (holding urine in the bladder) and in the treatment of reflux oesophagitis (inflammation of the oesophagus)

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

• Quinidine and procainamide, medicine used to treat abnormal heart rhythms
• Distigmine and carbachol medicines used to treat urinary retention
• Trimethaphan medicines used to reduce high blood pressure during surgery as an adjunct to anaesthesia

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
• The usual dose for adults is 10 to 25 mg taken three to four times a day
• URIVOID 25MG should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. They should be taken half an hour before food
• It is advisable to take URIVOID 25MG on an empty stomach to reduce the risk of feeling sick

If you take more URIVOID 25MG

• If you take more URIVOID 25MG, contact your doctor or the nearest hospital casualty department immediately

If you forget to take URIVOID 25MG  

• If you miss a dose and remember within an hour of when you should have taken it, you can take your usual dose
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Take your next in the usual time

If you stop taking URIVOID 25MG

• Do not stop taking URIVOID 25MG unless your doctor tells you to do so
