What VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) is used for?

• VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) is used to treat type II diabetes

Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. If you are taking,

• certain medications called GLP-1 receptor agonists
• diabetes medicines, especially sulfonylurea medicines or insulin

• Use VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider
• Your dose should be increased after using VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) for 1 week until you reach the 3mg dose
• VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) is injected 1 time each day, at any time during the day
• You can take this medicine with or without food
• VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) and insulin should not be used together
• Your healthcare provider should start you on a diet and exercise program when you start taking VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED). Stay on this program while you are taking VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED)
• It comes in a prefilled pen
• Your healthcare provider must teach you how to inject VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) before you use it for the first time
• Pen needles are not included. Use the VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) pen with Novo Nordisk disposable needles
• You may need a prescription to get pen needles from your pharmacist. Ask your healthcare provider which needle size is best for you
• When starting a new prefilled VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) pen, you must follow the Check the VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) flow with each new pen. You only need to do this 1 time with each new pen. You should also do this if you drop your pen. If you do the Check the VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) flow with each new pen before each injection, you will run out of medicine too soon
• Inject your dose of VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) under the skin (subcutaneous injection) in your stomach area (abdomen), upper leg (thigh), or upper arm, as instructed by your healthcare provider
• Do not inject into a vein or muscle
• Never share your VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) pen or needles with another person. You may give an infection to them or get an infection from them

If you take more VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED)

• If you take too much VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED), call your healthcare provider right away. Too much VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) may cause severe nausea and vomiting

If you forget to take VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED)

• If you miss your daily dose of VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED), use VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) as soon as you remember. Then take your next daily dose as usual on the following day. Do not take an extra dose of VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) or increase your dose on the following day to make up for your missed dose

If you stop taking VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED)

• Do not stop taking this VICTOZA 6MG/ML PEN(PREFILLED) pen, before consulting your doctor
